How does the building process begin?
In order to get started, we will schedule a meeting to discuss your needs. If you have chosen an architect, it is helpful if they are present. If you have not chosen an architect, we can recommend one for you before or after our initial meeting. After we have received and reviewed the detailed plans of your new custom home, we submit our general budget for your project (please see Building Process under the planning section of our website which describes our detailed pricing process).
How long will it take to build my home?
Our first priority is to complete your home, to our standards, as quickly as possible. Each of our homes are unique and they vary widely in design and square footage, so timing will vary as well. We pride ourselves in our proactive scheduling capabilities, which combine meticulous timing of all phases of the build, along with careful accommodation of our clients’ needs. Generally a new home build will start in the fall and be completed in time for the summer season.
It is important to us that our house reflects our individual style, do you work with interior design services to coordinate our interior selections?
Our projects most often require working with interior designers. We are experienced in the coordination of interior selections, working along with the design team to make your dreams come true. If you do not have an interior designer and would like to discuss your design ideas with a professional, we are happy to supply you with many companies with which we have worked in the past.
Can I view your previous and current projects?
We are very proud of our work and would be happy to give you a tour some of our completed homes, as well as take you to a job site to explain a building in process.
Can you supply references?
Please review some of the letters of reference on our website. In addition, we can provide you with the contact information of as many of our clients as you wish. In fact, we suggest that you contact some of our previous clients to not only be reassured about our services, but also to get a better sense of the building process, if this is your first custom home.
Do you offer any other services?
D. L. Miner Property Management Group offers complete property management for your custom home, at whatever level you desire, from winter watch, to spring cleanup, and finally preparing the home to be move-in ready once the season begins, or if you choose, a total maintenance arrangement which provides any maintenance or repairs that may be needed in the future to guarantee your home will always have that “new home” feel for many years to come.
